We’re Jarrod and Sarah, a husband-and-wife dog training team based in Green Cove Springs, FL, serving Jacksonville, St. Johns, St. Augustine, and surrounding areas. We work with all breeds and temperaments, offering private in-home lessons as well as our board and train program. From puppy basics to behavior modification for reactivity and tough behavioral issues, we give you and your dog the skills to build real confidence and lasting results.
By the end of our program, you’ll feel confident taking your dog anywhere, whether that’s a calm walk through your neighborhood or out in public around Northeast Florida. We give you the hands-on guidance, tools, and support you need to succeed at home and on the go, and we’re here to help every step of the way.

Hands down the best decision we made for our two and four legged family! When we adopted Barry, we did not know that he had a reactivity issue until we were put in a very ugly situation. Sarah and Jared came highly recommended! We are so grateful that we ended up following through and continue to practice our commands at home to help keep us accountable. During their in-house board and train program as well as their follow up communication and flexibility is stellar! I personally feel confident while taking Barry on walks knowingly that we will see other dogs. He enjoys the learning process and so do I!

We can’t thank Jarrod and Sarah enough for the wonderful training experience we had with our rescue dog, Lucy.
We adopted Lucy, at 2 yo, from our local Humane Society. She adjusted to us quickly enough but we needed help with some basic training tips and socialization around others.
For us, the convenience of Jarrod coming to our house was invaluable - both due to tour work schedules but also so Lucy was learning in her home environment. Jarrod had such a calm, patient demeanor with both us and Lucy. Helping us to know the best way to approach different situations we were dealing with. We appreciated his flexibility in tailoring the training sessions to our needs with her.
Sarah was great at organizing sessions and was our initial contact, helping to reassure us about some of Lucy’s challenges. We highly recommend Cold Water K-9 and Jarrod and Sarah.

Jarrod and Sarah are fantastic and I highly recommend their training. Before we got our new puppy, we knew training would be a must. We did the board and train program and it helped us get a jump start on training the new member of our family. Jarrod and Sarah were available with any questions we had along the way and are very knowledgeable. You can tell they really care about the dogs. We plan on working with them in the future for the adult program as well!

Jarrod and Sarah are amazing! I would recommend them to anyone looking for some help with training. They are very dedicated and knowledgeable.( not to mention wonderful people) They helped me so much with my golden doodle Archie. He had a lot of behavioral issues. I never thought I would be the dog mom that could actually take her dog on walks in public settings and outdoor dinning. We have enjoyed all of that and more thanks to Cold Water K9. I can’t say enough good things about these two. The in home sessions were a game changer. I needed the training as much as Archie did. They really care about the people and their pets that they work with. Thanks so much! We appreciate you two so much 😊

AMAZING work with our dog Rocky. Before Cold Water K9, Rocky barked at everything outside the house, noises inside the house and our guests. The doorbell was a huge trigger. He was awful on walks and traveling to pet friendly hotels. Lastly he barked at other dogs. He was the complete opposite of our first dog and these behaviors left us clueless. My husband wanted to get rid of Rocky and Cold Water K9 came to his
rescue! We now know several commands to keep Rocky in check. The barking is at an appropriate level, he plays well with others and LOVES to travel. We are able to control him on walks and bring him to pet friendly restaurants and businesses. His favorite is going to Chipotle and the bank(he’s so good at the bank they love him there.)My husband has grown to love him and so have our guests. Lastly, when we go on vacation without Rocky we know he has a comfortable and safe home boarding with Cold Water K9. We are so grateful for Jarrod and Sarah.
